TERRE DES FEMMES Switzerland has been a delegate of the NGO Coordination post Beijing since the spring of 2009.
The NGO Coordination post Beijing Switzerland processes and distributes information on implementation after the fourth UNO World Conference on Women (Beijing 1995) as well as on The Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) by means of its newsletter, the organisation of conferences, drawing up reports on the situation of gender equality in Switzerland and other public appearances. Furthermore, it functions as a hub and contact between NGOs and the Federal administration. The NGO Coordination serves as a point of contact for the federal administration offices that are responsible for carrying out follow-up operations that resulted from the World Conference on Women.
