This brochure includes the most important information on the health risks of female genital mutilation, the legal situation in Switzerland, as well as information and important addresses for women affected by this.
The brochure is targeted at the surroundings of endangered girls as well as migrants affected by this. It is often passed out by migrant organisations, medical experts, counselling centres, asylum centres and others for support, in addition to being used in prevention work.
TERRE DES FEMMES Switzerland has re-edited both the contents and the layout of the brochure in close cooperation with representatives from the target group as well as various experts.
