1. Name and Headquarters

An association within the meaning of Art. 60 et sqq. of the Schweizerisches Zivilgesetzbuch (ZGB) [Swiss Civil Code (SCC)] exists under the name of «Verein TERRE DES FEMMES Schweiz – Menschenrechte für die Frau» [«Association TERRE DES FEMMES Switzerland – Human Rights for Women»]. The Association's headquarters are in Bern, Switzerland. A contractual agreement on co-operation (for joint projects, public appearances, mutual support, etc.) exists with the association TERRE DES FEMMES Germany, located in Berlin, Germany. TERRE DES FEMMES Switzerland is an independent organisation, i.e. the strategic policy decisions are adjusted to conditions in Switzerland.
